How To: Add and Manage Behavior Phase Changes

Behavior phases allow users to track intervention stages alongside student behavior data. Phase changes are reflected in behavior graphs, reports, and exports, helping teams understand how behavior data trends relate to different intervention phases.

View a Behavior's Current Phase

  1. Navigate to the desired student's profile.

  2. Click the Behaviors tab.

  3. View the Current Phase column to see the phase assigned to each behavior.

Add a Behavior Phase Change

  1. Navigate to the student's profile and select the Behaviors tab.

  2. Locate the behavior and click the ellipses (⋯) icon.

  3. Select the option to add a phase change.

  4. Select the name of the new phase and add any additional relevant details.

  5. Save the phase change and review the confirmation displaying the effective date.

Important:

  • Phase changes can be backdated. A confirmation message will appear when entering a past effective date.

  • A behavior can have only one active phase at a time.

  • A behavior's phase can change only once per day.

View and Manage Phase Changes on Behavior Graphs

Phase changes appear on behavior graphs as vertical dotted lines, allowing users to visualize behavior data across intervention phases.

  • View details: Hover over a phase marker to see additional information.

  • Edit a phase change: Click the phase marker to edit its name, label, phase, notes, or effective date.

  • Delete a phase change: Click the phase marker and select the delete option. A confirmation message will appear before deletion.

Note: If a custom label is entered, it will appear on the graph instead of the phase name. Phase markers will not appear until a phase change has been recorded.

Phase Changes in Reports and Exports

Behavior reports and exports include phase information, allowing users to view the current phase on graphs and identify the phase associated with each behavior data entry.
