CR LiftEd has a 30-minute idle activity monitor built in for security and student data privacy purposes. After 25 minutes of inactivity, CR LiftEd displays an alert asking if "You are still here?" If there is no response within 5 minutes, the session will timeout and users are logged out.
What happens to unsaved data?
Any unsaved data tracking sessions will automatically save prior to the session timeout.
Why does this happen at all?
Because CR LiftEd manages students' personally identifiable information (PII). Data is safeguarded in a manner that aligns with FERPA requirements. The session timeout prevents unauthorized users from accessing devices and browser windows after a 30-minute window of inactivity.
