How To: Create a Behavior

Unlike goals, activities, and abcs, behaviors cannot be created in the student profile. They must be created in the library then assigned to the student.

How to Create a Behavior

  1. Navigate to the District Library or My Library

  2. At the top right corner click Add New and select Behavior to Library

  3. Enter a name for the Behavior

  4. Select a Behavior Measure

    • Duration

      • The method of measure is how long the behavior was observed.

    • Frequency

      • The method of measure is how many times the behavior was observed.

    • Frequency Interval

      • The method of measure is how many times the behavior was observed in intervals

    • Momentary Time Sampling

      • The method of measure is how many intervals the behavior was observed out of all intervals.

    • Partial Interval

      • The method of measure is how many intervals the behavior was observed out of all intervals.

    • Whole Interval

      • The method of measure is how many intervals the behavior was observed out of all intervals.

  5. Enter a definition for the Behavior

  6. Enter a location for the Behavior

  7. Click Save Behavior and select an options from the dropdown menu:

    • Save Behavior to Library & Exit

      • Saves the behavior to the library

    • Save Behavior & Assign to Students

      • Saves the behavior and opens a new page to assign to one or more students

    • Save Behavior & Add Another

      • Saves the behavior to the library and opens a new Create Behavior page
